Honestly this was the best purchase I have ever made and I did not feel guilty. I love my treadle the tradition and the fact my great great grandmother owned the same one. I say go for it. You will enjoy the treadle it is so much fun and the belts are not that expensive. Congrats! I would offer what you feel it is worth.

take a piece of fabric and some thread...see if it works.

Well, that treadle sold before I got there. I did however get this one....
Her name is Elvirna. She needs some love, but I am so excited. Also, going to pick up another one on Saturday. Yippee :D |
Now I need to source belts....
