I'm with you!!! I don'y know how I quilted before I found it!! (Well, yes, very badly LOL)

Put a wide rubber band around the ruler or template! There is one on my 60 degree pyramid ruler right now and it's dandy. Saw it on you tube. I save the bands that hold broccoli, asparagus, etc.

I use a vinyl friction tape that can be removed to clean my fingerprints off my rulers

I'm with sassysews2: I do that so often I'm reticent to purchase anything!
For my rulers I have one sheet of very fine grit sand paper that I cut off a 1/4 x 1/2" piece. One dot of Elmer's glue has held these dots for years on the back of my rulers. Couldn't be less expensive nor more useful. Love it. At least this one time I remember WHY I have sandpaper in the sewing room. :)

Yes that is what I also use. I have also cut very very tiny slips of sandpaper and glued them to my rulers. Just be sure to keep the ruler upside down until it dries. Just used Elmer's school glue.

I have used Invisigrip but it really is the vinyl you find in the Home Dec dept.

I just use rubber cement. It's clear, it's cheap, it's easy, and when I want to just roll your finger across it pressing hard and you can roll it off. Get it at any school supply area (Wal Mart, Target, etc

I use TrueGrips--non-slip adhesive rings. Made by the The Grace Company and I bought at local sewing machine shop.

I have two sizes of the Slidelock and those are my favorite besides using True Grips on bottom of rulers.

What a great idea! I save those rubber bands all the time but hardly ever put them to use. Guess they will go out in the studio now. Thanks for that tip but I do wonder how you keep from cutting the bands when using a rotary cutter with the ruler?
