There is a larger Shape Cut ruler, SUPER maybe? The 12x12 can only cut fabric folded in 4 from the Width of Fabric, which is fine, but I would go for the bigger ruler for the 18" width to cut more strips at the same time.

I absolutely love mine and use it constantly for everything. I especially love that after cutting strips, you move the ruler to the salvedge and cut across the stips and get about 100+squares in a few cuts! Awesome and accurate.

I have the one with 1/2" cuts, don't use it all the time but, lots.

I have the Shape Cut Too and I really like it! It is so easy to cut strips. I think I might look at getting a larger one to do multiple cuts without moving the fabric and ruler. I have to learn more about how to do all of the other cuts that it can do.

I only use my slotted ruler to cut fringe on fleece blankets.

I am using the June Taylors rule with the slots for the first time AWESOME. I first bought some stencils from someone on QB, place stencil over back side of material with special washable pens, trace lines. remove stencil place another piece of material facing first material then sew. (this is for triangles) you get 32 at one time. After I cut ears and lay seams down I also use the June Taylor's slotted ruler and catch what I missed the first time. Perfect little triangle squares ready to sew. love it.

It just bought my JT slotted ruler on clearance at WallyWorld when they closed the fabric dept. Got a $20 ruler for $9.50. Happy Dance

Love mine.

I have the 12"x12" with 1/2" slots and LOVE it.
It's like having training wheels on your rotary cutter.
You can't waver off the straight line.
I make sure I have a finger on the plastic piece beside the slot I'm cutting to stabilize it, otherwise if you press against it , it will bow a bit.
I can cut out a quilt in an hour now , instead of hours and hours.
Love it for making squares, they're right on, everytime.

I've looked at the Altos, to me it's TOO complicated, and way too much money. You still have to move the ruler for every cut. With the Shape Cut you can make several cuts without moving the ruler. Much better IMHO

I have one as well, love using mine. Be careful to stay in groove though, some of my slots have nicks in them from holding my rotary blade wrong.
