For me, quilting has always been about the process. If I did not enjoy it, I would not spend so much time, money, and energy on it.

I suppose listening to him might be easier than watching him. You'd be spared all the toothy mugging.

I've always been a SLOW quilter, even when I've set a deadline! I like to savor every step of the process. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :o

I look at the 'make a living doing quilting' people I think well they are out there doing it and I'm sitting here not doing it because that is not my chosen job. They are all doing a job for money no matter if it is being a spokes person, teaching, writing books, designing patterns, or owning a website. The way to success in their job is to get their name known to the quilting world by promoting new methods and ideas, have a fan base in blogging and other social media. Mark is doing his job and apparently doing it very well.

Thanks all. After reading the article in the link I feel too that Mr. Lipinski needs something to "hook" back into the quilting world. He has never been my favorite person anyway so I think I will save my money.

I make complicated quilts very slowly.
If I were in a hurry I'd buy a blanket at Walmart.

When I clicked the link, the pages were too small to read. Is there a way to make them bigger?

I just clicked on the text and it enlarged.

One of my favorite podcasts---Sandy of Quilting For The Rest Of Us---talked about a slow stitch movement for HER a couple of years ago. It makes me wonder if he listens to her.

Even tho I'd never heard of Mr. Lipinski, or the "Slow Quilting Movement" I'm happy I saw the original post and was able find a link to post for those who were interested.
I say if we all liked the same things how dull this world would be! Plus I would be the one late to get things, so I wouldn't have my quilting hobby...lol.. Hooray! for diversity...
