jackiesmith 08-18-2010 07:42 PM

I never knew there were so many ways to convey frustration. As I have been learning - this is a VERY educationsl board! Love it. (I am leaning toward "drats!") it is a hard choice though :)

Bobbinchick 08-18-2010 08:13 PM

I have another one that I thought of and that is Shyst! LOLOLOLOL!!! I laugh when ever I hear that one. Lol! Have a great night, Huggies, Fay

I don't swear. I very politely whack my machine. Then I feel much better.

Mickie612 08-19-2010 03:29 AM

dirtytherlaramapackenlumer, this came from an old ink pen commercial in the 50's I think. Then there is always fargen bastiges which is DH favorite.

quilt3311 08-19-2010 04:20 AM

I use this one a lot too. But sometimes I do let a bad 4-letter word slip out. (Usually the one starting with "c" and ending with "p"....and I know that's not a bad word for everyone, but I was raised a strict Baptist!) Then I always cringe, waiting for my mother to jump all over me for saying a bad word, even though I'm 56 and she passed away over 7 years ago! I know she's up there watching and listening!

colorfulgrammy 08-19-2010 05:28 AM

is it worth it??????

Then I ge the seam ripper out, because I usually answer myself by saying you know it is

Mz.D 08-19-2010 05:30 AM

My bad words are usually..."Cheeeeze O Pete.....or Cheezzzzeee and Crackers what was I thiink'n :)

Homespun 08-19-2010 06:01 AM

my 'go-to' word is now "crackity"

denveremerson 08-19-2010 06:19 AM

Sorry. When I get so mad that a bad word comes out, I feel MUCH better!! :-)

catrancher 08-19-2010 06:50 AM

Something naughty.

KaysQuilts 08-19-2010 06:53 AM

My niece is a kindergarten teacher, so she has to be really careful with what she says. She was hiking with some friends one day and hurt her knee. She said 'swear word, swear word, swear word'. Had everybody laughing.

KaysQuilts 08-19-2010 06:54 AM

I say dang-nabit.

nena 08-19-2010 06:59 AM

These are so funny... Mine is Well horses a..

ristinadouise 08-19-2010 07:09 AM

Communist Pig! or Pond Scum! lol :)

coquilter 08-19-2010 07:22 AM

well, I had to laugh. I just got knee injections and this ortho-tech was new and hit my knee bone with his needle. OUT came this profanity too embarressing - but it goes like "son of a b.........." really loud. I felt terrible and it scared this guy. I thought I had broken the needle. Anyway, I love "pucker" and have to put that in my head.

jolo 08-19-2010 07:26 AM

when my DS hears Pooh Pooh he says rip it out. lol

sewmom 08-19-2010 07:37 AM

i usually say Crap or Poohfiddles. but i like the term quilters induced tourettes!

trish b 08-19-2010 07:47 AM

Oh Lordy!

Delilah 08-19-2010 07:52 AM

I bet you pin baste. If you tried spray basting you would have fewer occasions to vent so vociferously. Anyway, my venting words are not printable in polite company.

It kinda makes it easier to not throw your quilt in the corner and say... The heck with this !!!

So I ask you... what do you do to ease your impatience when quilting???

Charleen DiSante 08-19-2010 07:55 AM

Mine is !!!!STINK!!!! and then MAAAAN! sortof two syllables :) (usually :? )

rebeccalr 08-19-2010 08:00 AM

God Bless America (loudly) and shcplietnfiennicklsbdfi (quietly, as I reach for the seam ripper), which is also the term I use around my mother and when at church.

damaquilts 08-19-2010 08:13 AM

Geeezzz Louise. Don't know where I heard it.

Pattiannie 08-19-2010 08:44 AM

I use "OH Man", fudge, or bananas....ocassionally a nasty gets out too but I try not to use it so I don't unexpectedly use it around my grandchildren. They pick up too many things the way it is and I don't want to be the one to lead the way.

SNUGQUILT 08-19-2010 08:52 AM

Kinda gross.....but "Oh Boogers!"

Bobbinchick 08-19-2010 09:27 AM

How about Shuzbutt! Another good one. LOL Huggies, Fay

JudeWill 08-19-2010 09:31 AM

Love that one! My favorite has always been, son-of-a-sea cook!
