PUCKER!!!!!
My machine quilting experiences have not always been smooth on the backside of my quilt, (if you know what I mean, puckers and such...) and instead of getting impatient and saying not so nice words, I've caught myself saying "OH, PUCKER!" and smiling.. It kinda makes it easier to not throw your quilt in the corner and say... The heck with this !!! So I ask you... what do you do to ease your impatience when quilting??? : )))) |
i often say botheration or fizzledegig
|
bluckage!

Mine Is Pickles

A word that would get me kicked off this board

Son of a ....
... ... ... BISCUIT-EATER! ha ha I bet you thought I was going to say something else. But every once in awhile, if something goes seriously wrong ... something that's non-fixable ... a slightly stronger word might slip out ... under my breath ... when nobody's around! (Then I feel bad afterwards ... :-( ) |
Little Mo, I say many words that would get me kicked off. luckily, I mainly quilt with GFs or on my own - no kids about.
|
oh drat
|
God bless it - my nephew says I am the only person he knows who can make that sound bad :)
|
Keep 'em comin' girls....I need to have some quilting swears. They're more appropriate than the other ones I know.

i just use food words to swear. things like pickles, brownies, snukerdoodles, and when I need a big bad word i use supercalifragalisticiksbialidocius. (spelled phonetically) and if i get really really mad I sometimes let a bad word out. than feel horrible. I try and just use random words that pop into my head and they are mostly food related. I have little kids around and my dd is getting into the parrot stage and so i have to be real careful.
|
Definitely!! Kids hear everything!! :D
|
Mine is "oh, Pooh".
|
No kids in my household and I sew alone so I let fly with the ones that would make a sailor blush.
|
That's a good idea! Can't tell you what I say right now, but I will find a substitute.
|
Stinkers
|
Son of a needle, I usually make a sewing mistake.
|
oh, botheration!!
I like PUCKERS! Probably shouldn't use that either, within range of little kids. Might get changed like "trucks" gets changed in little kids' talking. |
Fiddle Sticks

I shall not say (or write) my favorite swear word in polite company...let's just leave it at that! :-D
I just need to let off a little steam sometimes! |
BOULDER-DASH!
|
Flock - as in Flying Geese
Sometimes Foofaraw - meaning a great stir or fuss over something trivial. Very aqqropriate for quilters. |
Mostly I say RATS, with an occassional "RATS on a ROOF TOP" thrown in. My kids and grandkids roll their eyes at me :) :) If it's a really big swear I say "OH MAN" my old bowling league used to really laugh at me. My response is that I mean exactly the same things all the other words mean.
|
I address this to people - or their actions - that upset me
Forget You!!!!!! or May your God bless you and keep you, I, however . . . . . |
I was taught that women saying d a r n was as bad as using any cuss word so now I say d a r n in front of any other word that fits the cussing situation. LOL
typing darn looks like typing dam. |
Mine is shipoopie. Huggies, Fay
|
Frap! Frap! Frap!

I thought that was what chocolate was for. When on the verge of @!#%$##**&^$ you dive into the chocolate!
|
If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one around to hear it, does it still make a noise???
I, at times, can come up with a lot of interesting words  but can claim it never happened. I try to keep my bad language to times when there is no one around to document it. My dog doesn't care... Otherwise... in my quilting group, I try to be civil and keep it to "dangit!!!" But my friends all know what I'd really like to say! :-D We all need to vent, right? If I didn't, I'd explode! |

I say Oh, poop a lot...or pooh. Either way that seems to be my most common one. The rest of them I just think in my head...>_>
|
Got Dandruff, cheese and crackers! or more than likely S*#&!
|
I was just thinking about what I say and it dawned on me- it's not a word, but a sound. And then, I think- OMG- that's the sound my youngest used to make and we laughed at it because we couldn't figure out why/where it came from. It's like a "uumph" and slouch the shoulders for emphasis. Sometimes I go "grrr" too. Sorry not too lively here.

Mine is the same as LittleMo :)
