Very sad your DH didn't want you to enjoy the frame. Buy another one, bigger and better.

Yes, I don't think about quilting my quilts ever. So, I guess I was right in selling it. The gal who it's being delivered to seems like a wonderful woman and is so excited that it makes me happy. I already bought a barn quilt for on top of my garage. It was only $75 so I have lots more to spend. I'm going to save a lot of it, but I'm going to buy a couple more things. You are right, I am not a quilter, I'm a piecer and an appliquer. That's the fun part for me. I know I never would have used it. I just got scared when I saw it being loaded up and driven away. But I hope the gal who bought it will pm me when she sets it up and lets me know how she likes it. I told her to go to YouTube and watch a video on how to set it up. If you want to see how to set up a Bernina table (it's fascinating) go to:

I'm so glad I'm single. The dining room is exactly where my machine quilting frame is set up! In fact, thinking back on my dating life, I would have chosen the long arm machine over any of those guys!:)

On a thread, I jokingly said, does anyone want to buy a longarm table? lol...and I had quite a few askers. The first one I offered it to her for what I bought it for...$500. I'm so happy for her. She's so excited to get it. But, I'm a little sad. I never did have the desire to quilt, but after she and I made the agreement, my husband said I could put it up in the dining room. Dang him!! I already promised it to her and I wouldn't go back on my word for anything. I need you gals to remind me that I didn't have the desire to quilt and it would have sat in my garage forever and I sent it to someone who really wants it and is so happy to get it. I am so happy for her. I just need to know that it I would never have used it.

If the bug didn't hit you in 2 years it never would have. I'm so blessed when my DH will change just about any room in the house into my passion---quilting!

I know how you feel. I hang on to things far longer than I should. I just made a promise to my husband that if he could find a buyer for my Kiln, Treadmill, and Radial Arm Saw I would sell them. The catch is they have to be sold at a reasonable price.

I love gagets, so I usually buy them all. Now I may use em once or twice and then they just sit there. So, at least you know the person you sent this too, will make use of it, and enjoy it. Its not doing anyone any good just sitting in the garage. Now you have the cash to buy things you will use.

You did the right thing in selling your LA if it's never been used and it didn't bother you that it was just in pieces in the garage. Now the new person can enjoy it and you can enjoy having the cash back. Nothing wrong with enjoying piecing and applique.

Hi jcrow!!! Rejoice!!!! LOL At least it will be used this way and you have some more jingle to shop with!! I have a short armed set up. I got a bit of money from my dad and I was all set to buy a Tin Lizzie. I had priced them and knew I had enough plus a few extras to go with it. Well the day I went to get it I was so sick.I should have canceled my plans but didn't. Got to the shop and the Tin Lizzie was a lot more than was first thought. I guess when I had priced them the one I got was for a used one. Couldn't figure anything else out. I could buy the Empress made by Tin Lizzie for about a $1,000 more than I was expecting. Well I hemmed and hawed about it. My friend was with me and I know I about drove her crazy that day trying to decide. Well I backed out and didn't get it. Now I'm soooo thankful I didn't. I love long-arm quilting. I just don't want to have to learn how to do it. I wouldn't be able to invision looking at a quilt and saying it needs this or that designed quilted into it. I still have my short arm. Maybe I'll practice on it and do some table or bedrunners....but for now I"m thankful I don't have a long-arm!!!

I think once it's gone, you'll feel better. And if your hubby and put it up in the dining room, it would have just sat there, and you'd have seen it multiple times every day, feeling guilty each and every time. Be free!
