What do you do with slime?

When my granddaughter was here we made some. It is not messy or sticky. It is fun to just squeeze between your fingers, like a stress ball. She has made a ton of different ones, some with glitter, some with little styrofoam balls, all different colors and I think the fun is mostly in the making, and then posting videos, at least for her and her friends.

I remember making it with my kids too when they were younger. They had fun with it. They are in their 40's now also. Don't know where the time went. It is amazing, isn't it? lol

Just be careful on Amazon. Elmers has a glue that is permanent.

Yes I posted this in another thread. My granddaughter and her friends are some of the culprits!! I glue baste my quilt sandwiches so will probably order a gallon on Amazon. It isn't available in any of the stores around here. Nor are other brands.

My grandkids told me it had to be clear? I have not been able to find that, so if white works?

I use a syringe. You can get them at feed stores. They are cheap, so you can toss them if they clog up.

Sharon Shambers sells one with a tiny hole, however, it is plastic. I think they are about $5 or so. You just have to go to her website to order.

So weird - I was reading Car Hacks for Cleaning Your Car and one of them was to make "car cleaning slime" to press into crevices on dashboard and doors to get out dirt I haven't tried it yet but their recipe was:
Car Cleaning Slime
1/2 cup liquid starch
4 oz. Elmer's glue
1/4 cup water
Now if we could just get all the kids to use their slime to clean the cars!

My DGD, who is 11, has been driving me nuts to make slime. The little turkey has used 4 of my Elmer's glue to maker her slime. I told her this is it, no more using my glue. LOL!! It must be a huge fad among her friends.

I wondered why the glue shelf was empty at my local Walmart!
