I think I would ask for my money back from getting it "serviced" and find another repair/service shop.

What is more frustrating is that I purchased my Janome from them and they are an official Janome dealer. Trying out the machine in their store is a great idea. I will make sure to bring some scrap fabric to try it out before taking it out the door. With the price of gas, it is getting expensive in more ways than one having to keep taking it back.....not to mention I really want to sew!!!!!!!

Have them test it while you are there!

How frustrating. I hope they get it right this time.

Frustrating, but hang in there. Hopefully it will not be anything serious.

Before you take it back again, go thru your stash, take two pieces of fabric and some batting and tell the service tech your not leaving until you try it out. I would plug it in and run it for at least 15 minutes the way you would do it at home. I wouldn't be making a third trip. Also, start checking now for someone to service your machine for the next time. Be prepared. That's the last time I'd go there for sure.

Boy, I hope they fix the issues for you.........May I suggest that you try out the machine where you have it repaired before going home with it....that way you can show them what is wrong right away!!
They must not make sure the machine is working good before they return it to the customer....don't know if I would do business with them again...................Just my 2 cents worth!!

You haven't said the brand of machine, yet. When I took mine to the shop the owner sat right down to see/hear what I was talking about. This was immediately after service so they fixed it for free. When i first took it in the machine just needed an annual cleaning. All is well that end well. I agree with the others - take some fabric with you and try it out before leaving the shop.
