Gosh, I hope that's it. I was envisioning putting soup into a fabric bowl... not a good idea!

Thank you for the tutorial. Do these go into the microwave also and do they serve to keep the soup warmer.

They do go into the microwave along with the bowl. It's to be used like a bowls own personal potholder. I've made them and after the first one, they are SEW simple.

I just last nite read a very long post about these maybe someone has the link
mak sure to use the right batting 100% cotton no scrim Gale sorry see it posted worthwile to read through |
You need to make sure that ALL materials are 100% COTTON - Fabric, Batting, AND THREAD

Walmart.com has the Pellon Wrap and Zap for $3.09 per pkg. 45" x 1 yard. I'm making everyone in my family except the 2 year old one for Christmas. They are so easy to make. Mmm maybe I could make him a mini play one for his kitchen. Lol

I don't have a lot of soup eaters in my family, so I plan to make something similar....tortilla warmers. I'm just making my own pattern with a plate for a template. I'm using "potato bag" batting because it goes into the microwave.
