I live in So CA. I have a fair amount of southwest fabric. I don't use it for decorating. We go to AZ, NM and CO occasionally. I want to make a quilt reminding me of our trips. I have some fabrics that are landscape and some that have pottery, etc. on them. I haven't made the quilt yet......just too many ufos to finish.

Try equilter.com. They usually have quite a few and I've often seen Kopelli (sp??) fabrics there.

I have some. I'm a native of California and live in Upstate NY; never lived in the southwest.

I live in Minnesota, but my husband does a lot of backpacking and Sierra Club service trips in the southwest, so we have a fondness for southwestern fabric designs. But I will admit, I don't like the cartoon-y look of some of them. I've made a couple of wall quilts with southwestern themes and used more subtle designs in them.

I have one piece (maybe 3 yds). I plan on making a bag with some of it. I'm in South Louisiana.

I currently have about 2 yds left from a former project and I do live AZ and have for the past 22 yrs. I fell in love with the southwest and it's decor back in the 80's and haven't tired of it yet.

My heart and soul are connected to the southwest. Yes, I have lots of sw fabric.

Well, it's not really in my stash because I'm making a commissioned quilt with it and will use all the scraps to piece into the backing! I do adore the turquoise marble fabric though, and terracotta looks so yummy with it!

I have a few pieces and I'm from Michigan. We visit NM every now and then and I love the fabrics.

I have and I'm not. Bought it when I was in AZ and love it. Still don't know what I'm going to do with it but one day it'll come to me.

Southwest fabric is some of my favorite , I don't have a lot due to cost though. I also love fabric with realistic feathers on it.

Thanks for that link.... I was in Roswell,NM last year working and didn't find much in that area...

My first floor is done in southwest with pictures and accessories and the bathroom has a border with southwest pottery. I like the southwest colors, but living in Maryland it is difficult to find.

I have some....I love the southwest colors and designs. Most of what I have is scraps from garments.
I live in the northeast!
I have some flannel I bought at Joann's about two years ago. One is a western boots toss, and the other is a companion border print in blue, sort of bandana-ish. I really wish I had a third print to compliment them. The colors in the boot toss are really flashy, so I've had a little trouble finding just the right thing (especially flannel). I'm also on a budget, so I haven't been searching THAT hard.

Moda's coming out with a new Southwest collection: http://www.unitednotions.com/fcc_rising_sun.pdf. There are some really nice designs in this group! Worth looking at, if you like "Southwest".

My daughter especially LOVES anything southwest...maybe something with the painted lizards....(hm).

Favorite Fabrics 09-03-2011 11:25 AM

Those lizards are becoming popular decor for outdoors, even in my area! I've seen several houses with painted lizards affixed to patio & porch walls. Kinda fun, to have that punch of color.

Wonder if they hibernate for the winter?

Moda's website says they're supposed to be available in January. So you'll have to wait a while!

I have exactly one. It was given to me. No, I am more Northwest.
