i have a lot that is over 20 years old and some newer. being half Native i love to make wall hangings and these fabrics help with that. havent made any in a while, but now that my two working machines are up and working i may start making them again. have to find some Pow-wows to go to so i can start selling again. thanks for reminding me of that part of my life. i need to get back to it. was much happier then

I am collecting Southwest to make a quilt for my nephew in the southwest. Soo, I have a little. So far.

I do not care for southwest fabric, so I am sure I don't have any.

Bought "Spirit of the Southwest " jellyroll fabric by Moda.

Got a few pieces from a friend while in Fl. Thought I would really like it. Quilt is finished but I don't find that I like it as much as I expected. Don't have any left or would give to Canada lady. Friends say they really like it but I have it covered with a comforter. Doesn't match the room.

Been struggling with putting photo's on here but will try Mon afternoon as I would like other peoples opinion.
Tell you more then.

And are you actually in the southwest?

I am in the SW - New Mexico, but I don't have SW fabric. I'm not into novelty fabrics. I prefer batiks, tonals and the like. I prefer my design to be the star and the fabric the supporting cast. I do use a focus fabric or something that is a multi-colored fabric to base my quilt on. My avatar is such a quilt. Started with the border fabric & added the Fairy Frosts & Kona Black

I have lots of western and southwestern fabrics in my stash. I live in southern California.

Thanks for the fabric link, I have found some really neat fabric there.

I have a few FQ's or small scraps. I was going to make a SW themed quilt but have yet to do so.
