Sweet memories! It is nice when quilts that you have made are cherished!

I, too, am sorry for your loss. Quilts are such wonderful memories and treasures. I am happy that you and your sister receive comfort from the quilts you made. God bless.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mother this past March so know what you're going through.

My mother passed on a few years ago and I didn't get any of the quilts that she had made. My 4 sisters figured that, since I make quilts, I wouldn't want any....

That is sad. Just because you make quilts does not mean you want one of hers. We seem to make quilts for other people but not for our self. Why is this?

My deepest sympathy
I too felt like an orphan even if I was in my fifties... a parent is a parent no matter what age we are.
nice to have the quilt for comfort moment!

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. You must be around my daughter's age. I would be so sad to leave her so soon. I know your mother would have stayed with you if she could have. It seems you were such a wonderful daughter to be with her and share her last days.

I will pray for your strength. I know your Mother would want you to think of the happy times you spent together. God Bless you.

I'm sooo sorry to hear of your loss. You are exactly right though, make those quilts, runners etc for your loved ones. They love and appreciate it! My fil recently passed and I'll be getting the items that I've made him back, sort of a bittersweet thing.
