Maybe if you post this in the main section you would get more replies, most people look in the Tutorials for help :)

I purchased a pattern and ruler from http://phillipsfiberart.com/ I got the Spicy Spiral pattern.

Funny thing happened I went to this sight and was scrolling down with my scroller on my mouse and one of the little twister looking quilt pictures you could see the twisters twisting! I did it several times, must be an optical allusion or something but was quite weird and funny.

This is a pattern for a spiral bargello tree skirt. If you want it to be a complete block, it would only take a bit of tweaking to make it so.

also check out RaNae Merrill's books. Her design technique can be tedious but the results are fabulous!

I have one in my UFO basket. Takes a 9% ruler, It is difficult. Last week took most of mine apart and will try this week to get it right. Good Luck

Look at the Phillips Fiber Art web site under their Ruby quilt and there's a tutorial.
