Can you share a picture of ONE yoyo so we can see?

UPDATE****

I found the book I got the originial pattern out of ... ( of course after 3 + yrs... I couldn't remember which of my blocks were dark and which was light... so I just did hodgepodge mix- instead of the dark row/light row.
This is called a McAllister McPuff. I have taken some pic, sorry they are blurred.... these small digitals cameras dont take close ups well.

I'm up to row 5 of zigzaging it together....

book was published in 1995

what it was supposed to look like according to the book

block cut out pattern... sew up the corners, turn right sides out, stuff with a sqaure of batting, then drawstring up like a regular yoyo.... then zigzag together!

Is it done yet, can we see it yet? Maybe just a quick peek?

Here's a great tutorial on making the square yo-yo's.

How about a pic of just a block to partially satisfy our need to see.

Okay, I am officially brain dead. I checked this book out of the library a couple months ago and even copied the pattern! Duh

I like the tut you found.......... better. It's a tad more work cutting the things out but the appear to be more SQUARE... :)

Thanks for sharing it.

I have seen several out there that just work with a sq piece of fabric.... but with this pattern they seem to come out with a more flat square bottom , thus making it easier to sew together.

Which is what I tend to have because I sit too long reading this forum!

I like the tutorial you found, but I'm self-taught lazy. I hate cutting with scissors since the rotary cutter was born. ***sigh*** Guess it all depends on how much I want it. :-D :-D
