If it were mine, i'd add black border but then i love black borders. Lovely quilt!!

Beautiful quilt! It's lovely just as it is but a black border would like nice, too. If you mitered the corners it would look like a window frame. Not sure you're going for that so just a suggestion.

Gorgeous as is...

I love this! A stained glass window quilt is on my ‘to-do’ list...

I like the suggestion of a wide border with mitered corners then bind in matching color as “The Quilted Cottage” mentioned.

As narrow as the last black is, I'd think the binding will make it look even smaller. As much as I hate taking anything apart, I'd suggest taking that off and making a wider border of the black with your black binding. This is beautiful!
Added thought--do you have narrow pieces that you could make a skinny strip as a first border similar to the body of the quilt and then add a wider black border? You wouldn't have to take off what is already there. That might throw off your design though. But I'd go for a wider border as a "frame" of sorts |
I have made actual stained glass and the frame is typically very small so no border would be authentic. Also, your quilt is beautiful.

I only have scraps left of the layer cake and charm pack I made this from, so I don't have enough of any one fabric for a border, and I don't want to use solid black especially since the binding will be black. What do you think? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Leave it the way it is, it is perfect!

I would only consider a border if you wanted to increase the finished size. It looks fine and a black binding would be perfect, in my opinion.
