I now find dark fabrics difficult to work with unless I’ve got a very good light - preferably daylight.

Sometimes I think if my eyes could speak they’d be screaming for mercy!

I like it just as it is. Very nice!

Have you considered facing the edge rather than binding it?

No border needed. It's already beautiful.

Have a wonderful day!

Your quilt is beautiful. Did you have a pattern or is it your own design?

I downloaded a pattern. I think I got it from Pinterest. However, I did have to modify it a bit. The pattern called for 10 1/2inch strips for the long rectangles. Since I was using fabrics from a 10 inch layer cake, my strips were a half inch shorter. Plus I trimmed each block to 9 1/2 inch long to ensure that the edges were even and that the blocks were exactly the same length. The pattern also called for borders. I'm making this quilt for myself. I like to have a throw quilt when I'm relaxing in my recliner. Since I'm shorter than average (4'10" ) the quilt is big enough (46 x 54) even with the shorter blocks and no borders.

My feelings about borders often depends on the quilt size- is it the size you want it to be? If so, no border is necessary. If it needs to be larger- add borders. Or ( which is not the case with your lovely quilt) if there are many seams along the edges I might add a border just to hold everything together. If I don’t want toborder it I stitch a * stay stitch) all the way around the top so those seams don’t pull apart .
i love the colors of your quilt!
