Started something that wasn't that easy!

I now have the closet cleaned out and only have quilting fabric stacked on the shelves. I thought I would share a couple of pictures. I do have a small amount of quilting fabric!
The closet is cleaned out. The other fabrics are in boxes and waiting to be resorted for distribution between several charities. I still have some purging to do, but the worst is over! |
How pretty is that! You will enjoy your fabrics so much more now that they are accessible. Good job.
Your closet looks like a quilt shop where you can buy fabrics!! You really have a great assortment - thanks for sharing your pretties.
You can be very proud of your accomplishment, but must be ever vigilant because you live in the same town as Marshall's Dry Goods! That would probably push me into the "hoarder" catagory:eek: Just kidding, of course!
WHOA!!! Awesome!!!!! LOL
And by small amount do you mean a whole shops worth LOL!!!!
Maybe I can shop at your house. Sure wish mine was that neat.
Great job! Looks like plenty of yardage per piece, too, so no worries about running out for any given project.
Very nice job. I love that you have it so neat. I wish I had that much of some of my pieces too.
One of these days I'll get organized too.
Wow, and wow again!
how lucky you are to have such a large selection of beautiful fabrics. I would love to go threw many of the blue and purple fabrics.
Amazing. Thank you for sharing such enjoyable pictures.
How I wish my fabric cabinet looked that neat!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a stash to die for. Or is it "for which to die." Every color imaginable and so much of it. Is it okay to be envious?
And in such an orderly fashion. I showed hubby and said "you think I have a stash." He was amazed to say the least. Now I won't feel guilty when I buy more fabric. I can just say "Well, Collady had a whole lot more." |
Collady... I would love to shop from your shelves...nicely sorted..now you will be able to quickly find that perfect piece of fabric..

Fantastic job - well done.
it surely IS a big job. you are now so organized, you will love it! i had to enlist my DGKs to help me sort into piles of colors. then the folding took forever!
Very Nice. Most of my fabrics are still in the bags I brought them home in. (I know where I get the fabric from that way. and they are group to cordinate too.)
Wow, I love them all. I would love to go thru your charity bags to see what you are getting rid of; that's just wrong isn't it? I'm becoming a hoarder, I know I am; but I like it.
so nicely done and soooo pretty!
The fact the I have to deal with Marshall's Dry Goods is a problem! I try to limit myself to one trip per month!
Thanks to all for the nice comments! I still have a bit if work to do, but I need some sewing time first. Then I will finish.

How wonderful to be able to easily see what you have.
Wow. How pretty. I am working on mine too. I understand the enormity of the task.
I love Marshalls!! |
So nice and neat. Great job and love the variety of colors. Teresa
Wow! Can I come shop at your house? I don't think I have a closet that big. Great job at organizing!
that is awesome. It will be like visiting a quilt shop where they have moved their fabric and even though there is no new fabric you see things differently or in a new light.
oh wow....wish i had the energy to do that. it is wonderful, congratulations on all your hard work.
A small stash you say!!! I only wish I had that kind of stash, are even the give away bags would be a thrill to me.
Beautiful work on all the hard work . |
Well done for getting organised (I need a good kick up the pants in this regard). Great stash....a veritable rainbow:) Thanks for sharing.
organization & a total personal quilt shop of your very own..........drool !!!!
Whoa.. I don't come close to the yardage you have.. and I'm getting claustrophobic..
WOW! Enjoy the colors. You have your own "store."
Impressive...You should receive a blue ribbon for this.
What is Marshall's Dry Goods? I'm out on Long Island and our 'Marshalls' is a small department (mostly clothing) store which is a sister store toHome Goods and TJMaxx.
