@oksewglad = Fabulous high contrast. And not only are they incredibly narrow logs (I commend you, I don't know if I'd have the patience), you did 4 or 5 rounds. I love it!

@ube quilting - I love they way you carried the block pattern out into the border, reversing the value placement.
I get a whole Asian/Victorian vibe off it - very, very feminine. Lovely.

The thing I most like about both these quilts is that they don't look like they''re attempts to just use up fabric.
Both quilts are really well thought out and executed.

Thank you for sharing!

One of these days I'm going to get a postage stamp quilt done. I've started making blocks of 1" squares when I finish a quilt. Sometimes I add older stash into it, sometimes not. I haven't been doing this long, but if I keep it up, it should keep the stash to a low roar and eventually, I can put all those sections together!

I've been working on a Scrappy Trips Around the World from Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville. It's so simple and just plain old fun to put together the blocks. And I get to remember all the quilt's I've made from my scraps. Here's a link to the pattern: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/...und-world.html

Here, here! I agree. I have used so many of the stash buster or scrappy patterns and not needed a particular color just color value. Thanks MTS for the good advise to all on this thread.

I just saw a good example posted on the board this morning listed under "My 2013 mission to use scraps" posted by ontheriver. Interesting quilt to look at but it did not require particular colors.

That's a good one. I don't think I've seen it before. Thanks.

Check out my tutorial on Crazy Magic Patch aka Taming of the Scrap Pile - you can use anything in this type of quilt. I even have a friend that cuts up her 1/2 yard sets to do this quilt. best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have a crazy quilt pattern... it calls for 12 fats to make a lapsize but I have made it with scraps. PM me if you want additional info
