Mine did that and I eventually had to take it to the shop, my timing was off. Works like a dream now.

I noticed that our Wal-Mart was carrying Bobbins marked Class 66 bobbins.

try taking the needle out and put it back in making sure it is all the way up and tighten

You may find that the needle you are using is too short.
