Storage for GO Dies?????
I have about 30 Go Dies and I am looking to see how others store theirs; I don't want to have them on 4 separate racks if I can avoid it, that would take up valuable fabric storage space!!! I am in the final phase of getting my sewing room together and just wondering what everyone else is doing, any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you go to the picture forum, there's a sub forum on organization. I know I've seen several ideas there. Here's one:

I store mine in a straw basket on a shelf, though I don't have as many as you have. There are so many baskets to choose from and I like the look of cloth or straw storage bins.

I was told to not stack them on top of each other but on their sides. I use the wire racks. If I didn't have room for the racks I'd stand them up against a wall or shelf.

I have a 2 drawer lateral file cabinet. I use the top drawer for files of patterns and the bottom drawer for my Go dies. I have quite a few dies and mats and all of them fit in the drawer. The top of the cabinet serves as my cutting surface for the Go cutter.

I store mine, on end, on a bookshelf. easy.

Thanks for the ideas! I've been having trouble with this. I don't have much room, and i think the bookshelf may be the answer.

go to IKEA they have wire racks that hold 4 wire tubs or plastic tubs the cost is about $25 or less and you can look in the return section and find them for about $10 or $12 most times.. I have bought about 10 sets so far I use them for my studio dies and scraps of fabric and batting and embroidery thread.. love them...you can even buy rollers for them . you can also buy (on sale) the plastic racks that have several tubs in them or single stacking tubs, they come in lots of sizes.. good luck..

I store mine on their sides inside of a Sterlite plastic container with the handle locks. It keeps them dust-free and all together. I have a little accessory box that I keep inside that container, with the dies, that holds the metal pick and some tweezers too. I store the plastic box on my bookshelves.
