Storing Bias Binding

2 Attachment(s)
I made a bunch of bias binding today and as I was winding it around my hand I was thinking how I'm going to keep it together on my sewing shelves. The empty container for some hummus was sitting on the counter as I kept winding the 15 yards and it suddenly occurred to me that it was the same height as the binding. Here's what I came up with after cutting a 1/4" slit into the side of the container:

What a great tip!! thanks for sharing . I was using toilet paper and paper towel rolls to wrap around . Yours is so tidy!!

What a clever way to store your binding! Better than wrapping it around toilet paper rolls as I was doing. :)

We just finished off 2 containers of hummus this weekend. And I made binding, too! I usually just wrap it loosely & put a twist tie aroundi t. But not, instead of recycling the containers, I'll use them for this. GREAT IDEA! Thanks!
