I have three Janome machines and they all take the same type of bobbin. Each bobbin has at least one hole in it to help start the thread for winding. I've never ever had a problem with the auto cutter. Are you talking about bobbins with multiple holes or what? Please show pictures or explain.

The info about the bobbins with holes all around is for Brother and Juki high speed straight stitch machines not Janome or any machine that does decorative stitching or embroidery.

The Juki dealer told me that very thing and even showed me how the thread cutter worked in action and why it was important to have the solid bobbins. It doesn't apply to machines other then the straight stitch with auto thread cutter. Always use the same type and look of bobbins that came with your machine or prewounds that are made for it.
