I'm washing it now and I tossed in a few other things to hopefully generate some static.

No dryer sheets and no fabric softener... I thought about vinegar but I decided to leave it for now.

Are your pieces starched and ironed? I noticed that when I do this to a block or piece it will not hang.

I bought large plastic table cloths and thumb tacked them to my wall wrong side out and the blocks stick on there really good. I have a big wall and marked the different size quilts that I make - then I can quickly see the size of border that I want to add. Of course for a king or a queen I have to put it going across my design wall and not up and down. Good Luck

I wondered if anyone was going to mention this. I spent about two hours arranging a quilt once. Left the room to get a diet coke and the whole thing had fallen off the wall when I got back. My ceiling fan's 'breeze' was blocked by my body (somewhat) while arranging but when left alone to it's own devices it blew them all away like the three little pigs house of straw!

humidity also affects 'stickage'. please don't ask.

if you wash it put it in the dryer but don't use bounce or any dryer sheet it won't cling and that's what you need the static cling but the big the block you have to make sure you rub it on good or it will fall off....

I got several 50 X 60 lightweight fleece blankets for $2.00 each to use for batting in some projects. They also work great as a design wall and blocks seem to stick well.
