Didn't you post a pic of this block with the fairy in the center? Not knowing how big this is so far and how much bigger you need to make it; it's hard to give an answer. But if I'm right about the fairy maybe another border with the fairies in the center of a block completely surrounded by the other colors.

I think if it were me, I would put a New York Beautie using three sides for corners and then putting a half over the fairies. I do not know your dimensions, but that would put it large enough for the bed. I would then put a simple border to frame it the rest of the way but being sure to miter the corners. Using the floral fabric as the ouside border would be nice and making the NYB in the green and blues. I would zinger it with that dark blue or maybe introduce a dark green/blue color to combine the two. It will be a bit more work, but I think it would compliment the center.

i am terrified of the NY beautie. I have never done curves. I know that they are "simple" but they scare the heck out of me I had thought about it though. I was thinking about using some of the Judy Neimeyer pattern also. or really inspiration from it. we will just have to see.

On quilt pro or epatterns, they have some paper pieced patterns that work really good. i just downloaded Block Factory, Mariner's Compass Edition and it has the NY Beauty in it and these are quality patterns. I think Judy Neimeyer's patterns are difficult to understand. Block central is another place. I am trying to think of the other site that I get my paper pieced patterns from and it evades me at the moment. It is a couple who design them and they have a quarterly magazine they send out. They were at the Wyoming Quilt Show one year. Man, these pain meds mess with the memory. Let me look and I will post it for you. Carol Doak is another one who has nice pp patterns. She may have something you like in the NY Beauty category that would work. I know they look hard, but after seeing your beautiful work already, you can do it.
