stuff at estate auctions

So...today I was driving down the road..when I noticed a new sign "Thrift Store"...so I did a u-turn and went back. Who could resist? Right?
It was a small room attached to a mechanics garage. Very dirty..and very unorganized..but he was telling me they just opened and they get their stuff at estate auctions. As I rummaging through everything looking for treasures..I casually asked him if he ever comes across any fabric at these estates. He asked me, "You mean...like bolts?" I nodded.

wait for it....................

He said, "Yeah, sometimes..I just use it up as shop rags."

I think he can still hear me screaming in his ears as he lays his head on his pillow, tonight. :o:(

I have a brother who calls my quilting items "STUFF". He claims it should all be thrown away.

my whole family has always had that opinion. From the very beginning. I finally quit talking about it with them... They were stealing my joy. .
