Some great suggestions it's making a choice difficult. I feel I have a bit of Quilter's Block and need to just do some sewing to get over it, so am looking for quick simple pattern. Although I had thought of doing the ribbon quilt it just feels like too much work at the moment. I know I said earlier I didn't want to do a chevron quilt I think I am going to go with the one suggested by ManiacQuilter2 which is made of strips as opposed to the one I'm already doing with HSTs. I've ironed my fabric so will get cutting and aim to get the top done this weekend. Thanks so much for all the input.

Tumblers? That would use many of the fabrics you have.

McCall's Quick Quilts had a great applique quilt that it printed a few years ago called "Love Bugs" three applique strips only and there are butterflies & hearts. It would be perfect for all the pinks, prints & accents.

Good luck on the project! Elizabeth

Have you tried googling "pink baby quilt images" to get ideas? Sometimes that is all I can do for inspiration.

Finished quilt, sorry it's taken so long, I gave it to the mum without taking a photograph but went to meet the baby earlier this week so took the opportunity to take a picture. Thank you for all the suggestions.

I love the one with the rows of chevrons that get gradually darker as they go down the quilt.

what about taking the lighter colors for the background and make pinwheels that stick out [aka make a 4 patch and insert a prairie point in each seam so the stick out ..then add a green rick rack for a stem makes a cute block]

try looking at Missouri Star tutorials..I am making a Dandy star and they have a new tutorial out: Sparkle. It calls for charm squares but you could easily cut your own.
