Here are some snowball/9-patch ideas
just 2 colors, but liked it! |
I've never thought snowball blocks were that interesting but your designs, qbquilts have interesting possiblities. I will have to rethink this one as I have lots of three colour combos that would work up well for kid's quilts. As quilters, I sometimes think that we worry too much about the design and often simple is best and let the fabric do the talking.

Isn't it amazing what a difference it makes when you switch around the colors. Haven't made the snowball yet but it's on my list. My thought also was rail fence. Good luck be sure and show us when you finish. BrendaK

I always recommend the Double Irish Chain, which only requires three fabrics and goes together really quickly. Here are some pics of some I have done.
(I changed the borders on this one, so there are more than three fabrics) |
Tumbling Block. My Mom made one in three shades of blue and it was great.

love the colors in angies quilt #3 but all the suggestions would be great for a three fabric quilt
