Suggestions for border and binding please....
1 Attachment(s)
I'm open to your suggestions for the border of this top. I must say I've got enough dark blue left, red and white. Don't suggest any of the colors in the little squares as these are satin :)
Thanks for your help!!! :) |
I think light blue then an inch of red and more light blue with dark blue binding.

I would start with maybe a 2" border of the white (or whatever the width is of your letter blocks). It will make everything float. Then perhaps a thin light blue, a thin dark blue, white again. Bind with red. I would lay the fabrics out on one side to see what size strips would do the best. Just my thought. :o) Ann

I'm with krafty14 a "float" with white and then other colours as suggested. A red binding would frame it nicely. Though if you had enough satin, you could bind with that.

Agree ... a narrow white border will help finish the letters on the edge (H and E). After that I kind of favor a wide red border then bind in blue. I say red because in the quilt the red is in the center whereas the blues are on the edges. The wide red border will help pull everything together.

I would frame with a narrow white border and then use a wide red border with red binding. That would really accent the message of the quilt and not detract from it.
