Never gave much thought to Asian fabrics (not my thing, I guess) until I walked into the actual store of www.intfab.com! Wow! What a neat place and great fabrics!

Try this site http://www.quiltingcotton.com/html/frameset_new.html

They have oriental fabric for $4.98. You can order in 1/2 yard increments.

They have a beautiful crane fabric. I have ordered before. All of the cotton is gorgeous. Some fabrics are $3.98 plus you can buy buy mixed end pieces by the pound.

As the name implies, they carry a lot of Asian fabric. They also carry the Asian fabric magazine.

The Quilted Dragon site is just fantastic! I'm drooling my head off. Their cutting options are also insanely reasonable.

Of course, a different friend of mine just pointed out that the friend in question and her fiance are both certified scuba divers and love to go to Jamaica (their engagement, their honeymoon, etc.) So now she has me torn between looking at Asian prints, which I know she loves, and ocean-island-esque prints, of which there are many in blue.

Good thing I have a while to decide!

Jennalyn, Depending on where in MD you live, I'll suggest The Hayloft in Morgantown PA. I was there this am and they have lots of oriental fabrics. Good Luck!

Unfortunately, I live right smack in the middle of the state, which puts most out-of-state resources out of my reach with gas prices. Fortunately, there are two very good quilt shops within a reasonable distance of my commute. If I eventually decide that I need to go in-store, I'll probably hit up either Tomorrow's Treasures (love their staff!) or Cottonseed Glory.

If I ever end up near there in PA, though... new quilt stores are always a blast. ;)
