I made a dwr with a scalloped edge once - I was so frustrated with the binding that a quilting g/f rescued it from the corner on my studio and finished it for me. I guess I will have to try it again - maybe I can do a scalloped edge on a scrappy quilt :)

That was my challenge last summer, the Deb Trucker Rapid Fire ruler made it easier. I used the Pop Star pattern. Good Luck!

I am working on a red/white applique border on a red/white quilt. It's the 1st time I've appliqued a border or a vine. I've actually done very little applique at all. I am designing my own border using 2 inspiration pictures. So far I've learned I should make the border a bit longer for shrinkage when appliqueing!

My challenge is to get to sew---three granddaughters live with me and with school being out, it is a big challenge to sew at anytime. But I love them to death and just look forward to when school starts again!! LOL

I'm working on a Pam Bono kit I got years ago...flowers. 125 pieces in a 15 by 17 inch block. This quilt already has been named the " Oh dammit" quilt. I have dyslexia...Sigh. But it is good brain exercise.

Keep working away at it and soon it will be finished!

I'm working on a UFO that I have re-worked by cutting the previously pieced squares and strip sets into new units and adding some light colored batiks--there are 5 large square blocks, the largest measures 29" x 29" and will go in the center. The four smaller ones will be set around it on the sides and 4 rectangular units will extend diagonally out from the corners. All units are variations on 4 patch or disappearing 4 patch. The challenge will be determining what sizes to cut the filler strips to make it all work out.
