I bought one last year when my LQS was having a 25% off sale. And, I love it. I have one machine that I have set up all the time just for FMQ so that's where it lives, ready for use.

I have used it and it does make moving the quilt a lot better

It does help. I think the new ones have a stickier back. I had an old one and didn't tape it down. It shifted and I sewed it to my quilt... Gotta love those seam rippers!

If you want to save money try using a non-stick oven liner. You can cut it to fit your area. (Don't forget to cut a hole for the needle.) I just tape the outside edges down with blue painters tape, and it works just as good as my Supreme Slider did.

Where did you get this giant size? I have been looking for one and had no luck.

Does anyone have the slider on a Brother Dreamweaver 6200D? The machine has an 11in throat so wondering if the 'standard' size slider would be too small. I recently found this http://www.worldweidner.com/Brother-...tor-Sheet.aspx but have not found it a Brother Dealer. I will definitely be looking for it at the Houston Quilt Show later this month ... I have another excuse to go!!

I bought the regular sized one and it worked well enough, except for the nuisance of having to tape it occasionally. then I bought my Brother PQ1500s and it was only a nuisance on this one as the surface of the machine and the extension table is so smooth and slick that no mat is needed at all to FMQ.

I would be lost without mine, I love it. I usually also tape the corners down to make sure they don't get caught under my quilting. The one time I forgot to do this I sewed right through the mat which left it ripped.

Because of the high cost of buying another I just put tape on the backside to hold the two pieces together, put that end to the top, taped down the 4 corners and it's still working fine but I might put it on a wish list for a special occasion, like a Wednesday :-)

I also found that it made no difference whatsoever. I took it off my machine. I seem to be one who buys gadgets and find I don't like them. I hadn't bought a new gadget in a long time, but the supreme slider sounded like it would work well, especially with a flannel backing.....NOT!

I used one and my machine chewed it up -
