I have the Slider and I think it really helps especially if you are quilting a large quilt on a home machine (non-longarm).

Great idea....and still a quarter of the price.....

Does the car wax stain the material?

I bought one quite a few years ago for my Bernina 440, but I didn't find it too useful. However it is wonderful for my Handiquilter Sweet 16 sitdown! I don't know if it's the table or what, but I found a significant improvement when I use the super slider. I do tape it down with blue painters tape, just in case. While it does help with the fabric moving, it also helps bridge the small gap between the machine and the table.
