I love her work and she's been doing it for a loooong time!

I came across her stuff when I was looking for collage techniques a la Laura Heine. I love both of their styles and was excited to see Carlson's work. I would be very interested to see how you like it. I have a tendency to get obsessed with things and get involved before I know what I'm doing lol.

I learned about Susan Carlson when visiting the New England Quilt Museum last fall; her work was on exhibit. Absolutely beautiful! I would love to take one of her workshops and will be interested in knowing what you think of it.

I took her class in person last October in Maine and it was amazing.

Oh my gosh, Watson, I am a huge fan of Susan Carlson and have been debating whether I should sign up for her Online Master class. I purchased her "Serendipity Quilts" book, wherein she explains her method of cutting loose fabric collage, using 4 of her patterns. Each chapter focuses on one of the quilts and Susan builds on skill mastering by doing the quilts from most simple to most involved. It's a good book. However, the Master class would certainly be more in depth and I happen to be a very visual, hands-on learner. The cost of the class ($149) has held me back from signing on. I am going to apply for a scholarship that my quilt guild offers. If I get that scholarship money, then I will apply it toward Susan's Master Class. In the interim, I would love your feedback regarding the class. Please do keep us posted as you take this exciting journey. Have fun!!! Nita
