I plan on making a T-shirt quilt. I have enough Harley shirts to make two. :)

kuseta made this for me. She just finished one for someone who lost her son suddenly. Hopefully, she'll post a picture here.

I love t- shirt quilts. I have made several and always use a lightweight stabilizer. Some I sent for LAQ, some I quilted myself. The first one I quilted using my walking foot. The second one is an unfinished top.

T-shirt quilts made easy by Martha deleonardis was a helpful book for me and it has lots of information and pictures. I took mine out from my local library when I was starting out to make a t-shirt quilt. Have made several since - stabilizer is a must if working with fabrics other than 100% cotton.

I think that should work - 911F is the fusible featherweight; 906F is the fusible shearweight. Both seem to work well for t-shirt quilts

The 911F should work just fine. As long as you don't use a heavyweight fusible, you're good to go!

Opinions please! Her shirts are t shirts but not the kind with stuff printed on them so I can use the whole thing (not limited to the design or logo), I was thinking of doing a large D9P. I have 11 shirts for each kid (2). Is this good idea bad idea, i just do not want to mess it up, I cannot throw away and start new, which is probably why I am procrastinating :-)

you can go as extravagant or as plain as you wish. each year I make one for the band boosters for my daughters band fund raiser. This year was number three. It is so easy and so much fun, I can't hardly stand it. LOL, actually it is fun. I iron on ultra lightweight fusible interfacing (Joanns on sale for $1 a yard), I usually make a medallion in the middle for the band quilt.
