I think it'll be great. Depending on the pattern I don't think it would necessarily take on a southwest look. Could be almost beachy like coral and the ocean. I saw a sampler with those colors.

This will not be their main gift or large enough for their bed. I just enjoy making a certain pattern for weddings.

Be *sure* these are the favorites colors for a *bedroom*. Had a friend who was asked what her favorite color was and she said red; her grandmother gifted her with a hand-pieced, hand quilted bed quilt with red as the dominant color!

I would go with one over the other, with maybe a cream color as the backup.

Lovely quilt, with the turquoise and coral. I can remember years ago, when THE color was dusty rose, now that was a period of time color. Looked nice at the time, but not now. Not saying the above quilt is the same, it is so pretty.

Love these colors together. This is so cute.

They would be beautiful together as evidenced here, but I would ask the bride herself. :D

French braid in those colors, back with flannel for a coverup while watching TV. Might have to make two.

This color combination is WAAAY more than southwestern, they are complements of each other and as such make very eye-appealing pieces of art in all mediums. Check out this site for coral/turquoise quilts. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...78.ioaKgGrY3To

We just received a wedding invitation for July and I will be making a large lap size quilt. I asked the mother of the groom (our long time friend) if she knew the bride's favorite color(s) or could she find out and let me know. She likes coral and turquoise.
My first thought was to combine the two colors, but now I'm wondering if just one of the colors with white would be a better/more elegant way to go. Just curious how many of you think each way. THX |
I think pale shades of both turquoise and coral with cream would be magnificent!
