I made mine when I was still living in NYC - probably 20 years ago.
If I knew how to scan a picture into my computer I'd show it to you, but I don't. I don't sew, just make quilts, and only straight lines. I can't even do a zigzag stitch let alone a curve. This is by way of saying - GO FOR IT - it's a lovely quilt and not at all hard to do - just cut accurately. |
Under a Stormy Sea - What a beauty! is there a pattern or did you design it yourself? If your own design, can you post a tute?

Hi! I PP'd one a couple of years ago. Pattern was by Cindy Edgerton. I checked her website, couldn't find it, but check this out http://www.generations-quilt-pattern...sea-quilt.html

I turned my last log cabin quilt into a storm at sea. I'd love to make a real one. Sorry, I won't try to talk you out of it.

NOW I find out you can do Storm at Sea as paper-pieced! At the Houston quilt show in November I bought a laser cut kit from John Flynn's booth for a blue batik SAS, thinking that at least I didn't have to do the cutting! I'm going to tackle it anyway, but thanks for the link to the paper pieced patterns...they are beautiful.

Not only will you make one, you'll show us how beautiful it is once you're finished.

The only one I made is about 12" square & is a memory quilt I did from my Dad's ties.
