I hope your mil takes pictures of the step daughter opening it. Great Christmas present from both you for doing it and your mil for the idea.

The daughter will be so thrilled. And this is super of you to finish it for her. I just finished a quilt for a neighbor who's mother passed before finishing it. I know how good you are feeling to be able to do this.

I'm sure she will be surprised by her AWESOME gift. What a wonderful gift you are finishing for her.

Tell your mil to be sure to get pictures of her unwrapping/receiving the quilt and to share them with you. Next best thing to not being there.

Maybe they will video it for you.

What a wonderful thing for you to do. I do love it when the quilts are taken care of. I have 3 that my mother gave me that have seen so much better days and it makes me so sad.

Thank you everyone! Yes, it is nice to get to do this for my mil. She is a great lady and I just love her to pieces. And when someone is doing something out of the goodness of their hearts, its always good to be able to lend a helping hand.
