But am wondering if I would use it.

Before making any decisions- have you played with it ? Sometimes it is more scary thinking about trying it , than the actual process :)

I don't have that machine, I have the Brother SE270D - and love that I have it around when I want to embroider- do I use it every day, no- could I use it more, sure. I use the Sulky stablizers , if you just want to tinker buy a small roll of the tear away. For thread when I first got the machine I went to Ebay and bought an assortment of Royal thread- I have seen on here where some use any thread handy a lot just depends on how your machine reacts to it. You won't know until you tinker :)

I would sell it , and soon. Every day it sits is money you could have to do something more useful with. Additionally emboidery machines are being contantly improved and upgraded. The machine is depreciating every day. Get a good fair market value/sale today !
