I have no objection to a poll feature but I'd rather have a "like" button although I remember it being said that it will never happen.

I say 'Yes' - let's join the 21st century. An added feature that's available at the discretion of the user is always a potential benefit. I would use it.

The wonderful dialogue on this board is certainly why we all enjoy participating but anonymity can facilitate honesty :) I think members genuinely would like honest feedback about not only their own choices in fabrics, borders, threads, batting.. but also feedback on, say, the next sewing machine they want to purchase, irons, etc.. and I can see a benefit to having a poll to provide that feedback. It's not unusual for a thread to have 1,000's of views which offers the opportunity for measurable feedback through a poll.

I find this board a wonderful place for camaraderie but also a platform where we help others seeking advice/guidance and a poll feature could prove helpful in that aspect - certainly don't see how it would hurt?

Just my two cents -
Christine

As long as the questions were for real feedback, not just “is this pretty?” kinds of things. I can see where it could be useful, but as others have said, it might be redundant, since we all ask each other those very questions on the board already. This is why I chose “probably”.

I think polls can be very useful.

Not sure if I would set up a poll but I do like to read them.

The question is about interest in “creating” polls.
I answered “least”. I have no reason to create a poll at this time or
In the near future.
Participating in a poll is very different and can be educational, informative and fun.

I think it would be valuable for questions that have limited answers, it seems reasonable more would participate if they just had to vote. MHO

I can see that a poll could be useful. I'm not sure if it's needed here, but could save time.

There is no "extra time" in my day.
