Marci came and gave workshops to our guild. One of the things she had for sale were instruction cards for various things. I bought the one for paper piecing. She figured out how to simplify the process and make it so the piece you sew on *always* fit.

I just did 16 of these heart blocks and didn't have a single problem with paper piecing!! No crazy angles to try and figure out, no problems with sewing something on and having to rip it off because it didn't cover the area. It was totally worth the 4 bucks for the card!

Here's 12 of them on the design wall.

Not at all. You don't have to figure any size plus you can use teeny scraps. Here's the link for the reference cards. I just got the basic one and it really is the easiest way I've tried so far.

She has two reference cards, one for the basics and one to show how to place stripes and such. I only got the basic one.

Thank you ScissorQueen for the website. I am going to order. I have problems with the fabric with the fabric fitting the shape after it is sewn. Can't figure out what the problem is :-( This sounds like it will be a great help!

I seem to do quite a bit of paper piecing and I'm really happy I found her method before I made those heart blocks. They have a lot of severe angles and those were always the hardest for me to get it right and with her method you don't even have to worry about it at all. If you need some help after you get the card give me a PM and I'll help you.

I saved the site in my favorites, I will try to remember to order later, time for bed.
