You are indeed in our prayers. Your country is demonstrating a wonderful attitude of forgiveness and peace. May God bring good out of what was intended for evil.
Praying healing for everyone.. You are so correct it is not only the families who lost members that have been affected. The entire nation must be in shock. God bless you all.

We have been praying for you since we heard the news. God Bless.
A nation in grief whose people do not seek revenge is a rare thing in today's world.
You should be proud. You are a symbol of tolerance and hope of the future for the world. Its an old saying "violence begets violence" but to have a whole people have the courage to stand by that is impressive. Thank you. |
My prayers go out to you and all the families that have been affected by this terrible tragedy.
Our prayers go out to you.
My parents just returned to the US from Oslo and visiting our cousins in Sandefjord. My Dad is devastated by the tragedy, which breaks our hearts. Such tragedy in such a peaceful nation. Thank you for starting this thread for us. Edit to correct typo. |
Love and prayers for your nation from one who experienced the OKC bombing (lost a distant relative) and 9/11. We do understand.
My sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with you and all your countrymen. Having lived in New York during 9/11 I can relate to the feeling of loss and dismay that must be felt by everyone of you. However, my advise is you can't let hate and fear take over, then evil has won. It sounds like your compatriots are well on the way to healing, but it will take a long time.
God be with you all. |
Our prayers are with you all. It is hard to comprehend that even one person could do such a thing. May God be with you and the country.
Your country is in our prayers. Fanatics need our prayers as well because they are so irrational in their thinking. It is amazing tthat he desire seems to be to avoid an eye for an eye. God Bless You and all your countrymen, women and children in all walks of life.
My sympathy and prayers to all of Norway. What a beatiful country you have, I was privileged to visit Norway several years ago. I loved every minute of that visit. I spent time in Oslo and well as many other areas. Hugs for your healing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. This was such a tragedy. It's my prayer that time will heal the sadness and sorrow.
Thank you for sharing so beautifully what you are going through. May peace be with you. You're in our prayers.
When I first heard the horrible news, I could not believe it happened in Norway. I just returned from Norway at the beginning of June and was so taken with the culture and the friendliness of the people I met. The strength and pride of Norwegians has shown in the many interviews I've seen over the past few days. My heart and prayers are with you.
We here in the US, can relate to what your country is going through (because of 9/11). My Blessing and prayers are with you. My husband and I have been praying for all of your country. My GOD BLESS you all

Out of the ashes, I'm sure Oslo, Norway will rise greater than before...
May God bless you, your family, all the people of Norway, and Norway... I'm praying for your recovery... |
Now begins the after-work here. Norway has been shocked to their bones by all the criticism of the world press about the way things were handled. Were we prepared? Well the answer is obviously not, however, is any country prepared for a mad man to go to a youth camp dressed as a policeman, announce he is there to explain about the Oslo bombing and help them and mow them down with a machine gun when they run to him? I think not!
Everyday names of the newly identified are read on the news. Those who lived are expressing enormous guilt. The kids who escaped into the water are blaming themselves for living because they think they abandoned their friends. The holiday campers (from around the world) on a nearby island who put their own lives at risk by setting out in their boats while under fire themselves, are guilt ridden because they could not take more onto their full boats. Pastors, psychologists friends and loved ones are doing a magnificent job tending to everyone. Norway does have a great system for taking care of trauma victims because of past experience. That people are reacting so balanced is a tribute to those who foster such things as rose parades and memorials all over the country to allow people to come together instead of leaving them in isolation to work out their feelings. Here in our town the art school has opened for children to come in and work out their feelings using art. What a good thing to do let them create and talk to someone about what they are doing and what it means. Gets those feelings out. The man who did this is being interrogated today for the 2nd time. It is difficult to handle him and his sick ways. From the police, to the state's psychiatrist, to the head of the prison, to the prison clergyman it is a challenge for everyone. The prison chaplain was on TV yesterday being humble and honest as he shared that he has to get his own head in order and deal with his own feelings before he can even begin to work with this prisoner. Slowly new things are being discovered and reverberations are felt. How many people like this are there in this world who want to destroy others because they are different? I am so appreciative of your thoughts and prayers that I want to keep you informed about what is happening here as times goes by. |
My thoughts are with you and your country as you heal from this.
My love but most of all may the Holy spirit Thee COMFORTER of all comforters stay your hearts in peace. We prayed for you at our prayer meeting last night. Our prayer and hearts are with you. God Bless
North Dakota has a large Norwegian population. I am also of Norwegian descent and our whole family here is heartsick at what has happened. My second cousin's son lost a good friend on the island so it has hit a little closer for us. Some of us on Facebook have put Norwegian flag badges on our pictures in support of Norway. May God give you the strength to move forward in the days ahead.
Today it was decided to remove violent video games from the stores. What a good idea, in my opinion.
What happend in your country with the bombing and the sensless shooting of those young people was an act of cowardice. Know that most of us in America greive for your country and it's citizens.
Americans having suffered through the acts of such cowards and can feel your pain deeply and we hold you in our prayers. God bless. |
My prayers are with you and the rest of Norway in this time of sadness..... wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery... and may justice prevail for everyone...
We will certainly continue to pray for your people in Norway that God will fill you with peace and joy in the midst of this storm. Blessings abundant as your country recovers from this senseless attack.
I am so sorry for the pain and suffering your country is going through---may it help to know you and all are in my prayers.
Sending up prayers for you and your country. I don't know how anyone justifies killing for any reason, much less people he's never met. I think they are just evil people to begin with.
Norway is in our prayers. We can relate 9/11.
My biggest fear is that people in other parts of the world might think that the one who shot off his mouth about "Hitler Youth" may be taken to speak for Americans in any way whatsoever. Nothing could be further from the truth.
My heart goes out to Norway for this terrible tragedy. |
Your Nation is strong..all our thoughts are with you..Hugs !!!
So sorry about another terrible tragedy in this world we live in. The old devil is loose and busy as he can be. But there is one who is greater than he. May the Lord be with everyone of the families that had loved ones killed or hurt in this tragedy and for you and your country.
Our prayers are with you and your country men after this sensless deed. God bless you all.
Hugs to all of you.
May God in his wisdom bring peace to all those touched by this man man's hateful acts against the people/children of your country. My prayers go out to you!

If anyone can relate to your grief, it is we Americans. December 7 (Pearl Harbor Day) and 9/11 will always revive a deep sadness in us. I am so sorry that Norway now has to join that group of nations so unjustly attacked.
Let us all join in a common effort of prayer that all nations, all religions and creeds, may soon unite in a different kind of effort: peaceable happiness for all. It seems so little to ask. May God heal your deep, deep wounds. |
