Not knocking guilds, but working full time and everything else in my life I don't have time for things like that. I feel like this board gives me what I think many people seek from guild or quilting group memberships. I know there are many on here that also belong to local groups,but for those of us that don't have a place for that in our lives or the local groups aren't a good fit this Board is our Guild/Group/whatever you want to call it. I learn something every time I log on, have found links I never would have on my own, am encouraged, have the opportunity to be an encourager, laugh, cry--it fulfills a multiple of needs for me! Thanks!

I so agree with you. I've been trying to get all of my quilting friends to join. Some are lurking, some aren't sure. Maybe I need tone down my "sales pitch" - I may be scareing them! : ) Every morning I have to get my "fix" for the day, but, if there are lots of postings, I sometimes lose a goodly part of my day at the computer.Oh, well,it is time well spent with GOOD PEOPLE!Thanks QB!
