Thanks Y'all, Glide thread Rocks!

Well I just got around to trying the Glide thread and pre wound bobbins in my Bailey's. WOW, within the first few inches I was sold! I am not a thread snob and thought what I was using was fine, but wow, thread does make a difference! who knew - haha - Quilt Board members that who - the quilters on here know everything.

So I will use my Connecting Threads stash for piecing and Glide for quilting! So Happy! I am a new long arm quilter and still very much a beginner, but I think my quilting looks so much better already!

Thanks Y'all!

Once I tried Glide in my midarm, that's all I've used. Someday I will experiment with Bottom Line, but not soon!

I was at Chuck Bailey's shop once and he says he uses a cotton poly everyday thread on his Baileys and it works just fine. Glad the Glide and prewounds works for you :) I'm still hoping to get a Bailey's someday.

I like Glide thread for fmqing on my Brother 1500. I never had thread issues. I use the prewound bobbins of Glide to match the thread. I love the bobbin containers! LOL

I'd love to try it. Do you have a favorite online shop to purchase it from?

This is where I purchase Glide: http://www.bobbincentral.com/glide.html . If I remember correctly, they give you a 15% discount on your first order.

Thanks for the link. Do you know of any other places I can order a smaller amount? I hate to spend a minimum $35 to try it out. Sure enough that would be the time my machine doesn't like it.

Here is one blog review of Glide thread. http://www.domesticanarchy.com/2012/...e-stitchy.html

Love Glide. Did you know that one canister of bobbins equals one spool of thread?

I would email or call them to ask for a sample. I didn't do that -- just took a chance -- but someone else mentioned getting a sample first.
