Hi everyone. I have been a larker for some time but now that I left my abusive husband, moved across country to be closer to my children and are somewhat unpacked, time for me and sewing. I started with Bonnie Hunters first clue and couldn't be any happier

Some of your older posts showed a great sense of humor. So, not sure what to think. But maybe you're not the madquilter I'm thinking of since you have just 15 posts.

Good to see you've improved your environment. It takes tremendous courage, support and encouragement. Congratulations.

Here is the third quilt finished up this weekend. I had quilted a star in gold thread for the tree topper - but the green yarn overwhelmed it. So I found a fabric ornament pattern and made that. It has a button on the back and I put a button hole in the quilt so it is removable for washing.

Kristi and Ice Blossom thanks for trying to help. The camera was returned this morning. We couldn't get it to work. Our phone was just activated last week (it is not very smart) and I have been trying to get the email to work on it so I could post a picture but no joy there either. We will drive to Blythe on Monday but that means I don't get to post a picture for this weekend. Bummer. Now that I have had a nap I'm going to start sewing.

Lots of great projects! I finished the top that was someone’s UFO in a donation bag. Now my church group will finish and donate.

did get some very "rough" charity quilts finally finished Thurs and Friday morning, then DS and family here and today DD and hubs also and we had Thanksgiving dinner--ate at 1:30 and still in agony from eating so much! But it sure tasted good! Just hanging with family and big day at church tomorrow morning, family leaves and then I hope to actually get a quilt on the frame at the very least!

I am sewing this weekend too! My family was here Thursday and it was a great relaxing day. My first grandchild is due any day now, my daughter had a hard time getting around but it is fun anticipating when her son will be born.

Today I'm working on the Diamonds and Pearls quilt that was on the Fons & Porter website before it changed to the Quilting Company. It's a really nice quilt that uses templates to help cut out angled pieces. Here's a picture of it: https://www.quiltingcompany.com/wp-c...ond_Pearls.jpg

Macybaby-your Christmas quilts are beautiful and you sure have been productive. I especially like the first one with packages. Wonderful workmanship. I love seeing all of your quilts you make and enjoy each and everyone of them.

You are really ahead of the game and good for you to get the first clue done already. Also, congratulations on being in a happy place in your life and that you get to sew again. Sewing really relieves a lot of stress and it is so relaxing for me. My daughter went thru the same as you and now she is so happy with 3 beautiful daughters to raise and doing a great job of it. She has her own place and a good job so life does get better as time goes on. Take care and keep sewing on. :)

I am officially done half of the quilting on my queen sized batik . I know this because I am doing vertical lines and I started in the middle and worked to one side. Now, I need to turn it around and start in the middle and work my way to the other side, but I have committed to do a small craft show on the 13th so I really ought to get started on that stuff!
