There is also at the bottom of your screen (lower right hand corner) a 100 % with an arrow.
CLICK on the arrow and it allows you to go up to 400%. |

Well, I'll be jiggered - it really does work and I've been using a computer for years.

Wow, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks
|
It didn't work for me. I put the curor on the pic hold down ctrl then use my tough pad to try to enlarge. NOTHING?
|
maybe you need to press a + OR - key while holding down the control key?
|
That's for that tidbit. I too was wondering if you could enlarge the avatar to see them better. Thanks

But thanks. |
Besides the zoom to 400% and the + to 150% and - to 100% on the right task bar, there is another method if one really wants to see a quilt pattern...
If you have Windows 7 or Vista version, there is a Snip It tool. You click on the "snip it" then drag the cross bar around the image, it copies to the "clipboard" and then you can paste to Word or some other software package screen. After that you can drag the handles as large as you wish. Then save the doc. I do this often when I see one of these "dream quilts" I would like to make - like that daisy quilt that keeps popping up on the recent posts. |
What would we do without one another to help?
|
Mine didn't work either just holding down the control button, but when someone else said to hold CTRL then hit the + or - key to enlarge, reduce - it worked and it's great! Woohoo!

On my Mac I hold down the command button and then press + to enlarge the page or - to decrease it. Works great!

I just love coming here with all the great people who help each other out and not just with quilting. I have problems with my eye sight and learning how to do this is going to help me a lot. Thanks
|
So if you can't do this, do you try another mouse?

Yes there is...highlight what you want to enlarge ie picture, 'copy then paste it' to write mail, then right click on it to get those little white boxes, then go to a corner to get the double arrows to stretch the picture...however, if you try to make it really big, it will just become blurry...Naomi

This works for me, too....
OR you could highlight the picture you want enlarged - COPY(CTR C) - open the MS Word program and PASTE (CTR V)...then enlarge THAT picture by pulling out the corner.

Also, if you want at the top of your screen, you can go to view and zoom in or out.
|
Hobby Sue, thanks for the tip. That works great. You see, you learn something new every day.
|
I'd like to reply about the PC/Mac question, but it probably should be a new topic. How do we start a new topic?
|
Well, I'll be darn. Learn something new everyday

For some reason, no matter how hard I try, I can't do the trick with the Ctrl and rolling the mouse over it...that's why I use the way I described above...
