only colors that I don't like are the blue jeans you see in the store and they have a dirty yellow stain to them.
I can't see why anyone would pay for something like that.
My son gets a stain like that on his work jeans and nothing I do seems to bring it out.. And while we are OT here. Why would anyone want to buy jeans with rips in them?
Hubby went to buy new pants but the ones he thought were worn out looked better then the new ones. :(

I don't like pastels too much - and it doesn't matter which color, but I do not "hate" any colors. I almost wish I did, because my stash might be smaller.

There is a particular range of baby-poop (could be green or could be brown) that I probably would not use in a quilt - but how could I hate such expression of a natural phenomenon. arr arr.

I don't like pink in my life, but I've found pink family fabrics that work well in my sewing. Go figure!

I'm with you about orange!

Green. I do not like green. I use as little of it as possible but, sometimes it just cannot be helped.

LOL on the baby poop. Years ago, my hubby and Daughter found a Dodge car they really liked and the only way to describe the color was METALLIC BABY POOP.

Fancy Nancy 09-11-2010 04:30 PM

rust color

CarrieAnne 09-11-2010 04:56 PM

I think orange is my least favorite!

I can't stand purple either! Don't know why....it just looks cheap to me.

purplefiend 09-11-2010 05:14 PM

I totally agree with you. I like bright clear colors, not the grayed or washed out colors. They don't make me happy.
Especially Thimbleberries colored fabrics. blech!!!

Joyceinoh,
I don't understand it either, makes the jeans look dirty, I'd be tempted to bleach them lol
That goes for the expensive jeans that are all ripped up too. I can do that all on my own and not pay lots of money.

That quilt is beautiful... BEAUTIFUL...but for my choices, I would have had to have used greens, or blues, or fushia....

littlehud 09-11-2010 06:14 PM

I don't hate any colors but I do shy away from orange.

Billy

Same here! (And I love pinks and purples)

2wheelwoman 09-11-2010 06:24 PM

Any of the "baby poop" colors - olive, avacado, muddy green, blah brown.

canmitch1971 09-11-2010 06:56 PM

Another vote for pink. You will probably never see pink in any of my work.

akrogirl 09-11-2010 09:23 PM

There are a few colors I would have said I didn't care for before joining this board, but it seems that the use of some of these less popular colors is what makes certain quilts really stand out, and in a good way ;-)

Katia 09-11-2010 09:52 PM

The only color I stay away from generally is orange. Orange makes me angry. But then sometimes I see orange in the new hot modern fabrics and it works for me.

The only real color combination I really do not like is pink and red. I do not understand why anyone would think they go together?

1quilt_gma 09-11-2010 10:08 PM

I don't really 'hate" any color,,there are some that I don't use that often....

HELLuvvANGEL 09-11-2010 10:23 PM

LIKE OMG Im a PINK Freak then Purple then Teal lol im not real hip on dowdy browns but i love vibrant colors

mzsooz 09-11-2010 10:25 PM

I don't like peach, or mint green, pale pink, or white. If we're talking cars, I really don't like white on most cars or trucks. There are classy, easy-going tone on tone creams for quilts and rich creams for vehicles, but that pure white makes me stop looking at it.

I agree

Yarn or Fabric 09-12-2010 03:19 AM

I am also a pink hater. I really really really do not like pink one iota. Having said that, I haven't depinked my stash since I do sew for others on occasion and it has come in handy but I have very little of it!

What a spectacular quilt! That boy is a lucky guy to have such a devoted and talented mom to make that for him. You must stand tall on this endeavor!!!! What is the pattern called?
Angela

thenonnielady 09-12-2010 03:32 AM

I don't care for purple, and I don't like grey. I really don't like grey!!

jolo 09-12-2010 04:19 AM

I cant think of a color I dont like.

Nanjun 09-12-2010 04:28 AM

All colors are nice but I dont like plaids

Deborah12687 09-12-2010 04:33 AM

I really don't hate any colors but I do avoid drab colors exspecially the greens.

judi wess 09-12-2010 04:41 AM

I hated pink and or blue till I started dyeing cotton. I can now appreciate a good blue and use pink for the grandaughter. Have a thought....we tend to dislike those colors that we don't look good wearing...any thoughts out there on that?

Baloonatic 09-12-2010 05:12 AM

Purple, my absolute FAVORITE!

steelecg 09-12-2010 05:12 AM

There isn't one particular color but I don't do bright garish colors well - I tend to softer side of things.

juststart 09-12-2010 05:13 AM

Yellow and grey combinations are horrible to me.

fancifrock 09-12-2010 05:22 AM

Pink is my absolute favorite color but I tend to avoid any shade of blue. What did you do with your pinks and purples?
