Is there a pattern for this design?

I realize that this quilt is a variation of a log cabin, at least I believe it to be. I'm challenged with charting on graph paper so I'm wondering if someone might know if there is a pattern for this quilt? I've searched via Google and Google pictures with no luck. https://weallsew.com/community/marys-quilt/

I agree. Looks like a half log cabin block. Don't know why they call it a half, it's really a quarter of a block.
If you assume that they used 2.5" strips, then you would start with a HST that finishes at 4" (cut squares at 5", draw diagonal line, sew on either side, cut then trim to 4.5"). then add 2 rounds of strips. Strips added to the dark side of the HST.
Nice pattern!

Thank you so much for taking the time to break this down for me! I have very similar fabric and think it would work well in this pattern.

I have just finished the blocks that is almost the same pattern. It is called a 1/4 log cabin square. The only difference is the HST. I use a square. I like the HST. Maybe make that one too.

It is the same block just turned different ways. I drew it in EQ7 and found that the block is just rotated each time. I used a 6 inch block, which would be 1 1/2" finished logs. Layout, 6x8 = 48 blocks.
First border is 1/2"
Second border is 1 1/2"
Third is 4 inches.
Final is binding at 1/2 inch.
Final quilt size is 66"x77"

That is a beautiful pattern. I love this QB, I learn so much from you dear quilting friends. I learn something new every day. Thanks a million.

Thanks Barb! I can stare at something and just not "see" the basics until someone points it out! Thanks for the detail.

when I look at it, I see a combination of log cabin and trip around the world. it's really pretty. the link to MSQC has a downloadable pdf for the quilt
