These are all great ideas that I would not have ever thought of! Thanks everyone!

Keep 'em coming.

I put my CT size spools in 3X4 ziploc bags, then into plasic bins by general color (hots, cools, neutrals). Not the most organized, but I can put the bobbin in the bag with the thread if I have one, the bags keep the thread clean, and NO TANGLES!!!!

I found some closet fruniture (I think Closet-Maid is the brand)that Loews was discontinuing and bought the drawer-types for my sewing room. I like them because they are only 11 1/2 inches deep and line up aginst one wall of my sewing room. They keep my thread out of the sun and dust free.

I also bought a rack with plastic drawers at Sam's Club for my embroidery thread and it is OK, but the drawers tend to slip off the track if I'm not careful.

I have a 6 drawer plastic bin on wheels, purchased at joanns. No more dusty thread.

i use the Hot Wheels cases but I havent seen them around in a long time. Maybe they are a Christmas item. I have so much thread that I also have one of those table top drawers. Mine has 3 drawers

I'll have to look into that. Carry it where you want to go. Thanks BrendaK

I keep mine in the Plastic shoe box jumble! Is that a baby badger or wolverine in your Avater? Wonderful either one! What's the story behind it?

There are a lot of clear thread cases available. I like the plastic drawers that stack sold at Walmart.
