Hello everyone,
is there a special thread to use to hand tie a quilt? BB Wyte |
Use embroidery thread, all six strands, and a curved needle. This is what works best for me.

My DGM always used yarn to tie quilts and they have lasted many many years. Infact my Mom has some that are older then I am and I'm in my 40's.

I like wool yarn. Have used embroidery thread, pearl cotton and acrylic yarn. They all work but some work themselves loose. Wool never does.

My Mom uses embroidery thread. She says it is the best and she has been quilting for almost 70 years.
